Summary

The Senior Data Scientist I at Bell Business Markets (BBM) Wireless is a strategic and technical leadership role designed to spearhead next-generation AI and intelligent automation initiatives. Operating within the Business Transformation team, you will establish the technical vision and roadmap to modernize legacy capabilities into highly efficient, scalable, and increasingly autonomous workflows. In this capacity, you will serve as the technical authority, identifying high-impact opportunities where artificial intelligence, agentic frameworks, and human-in-the-loop decision-making can streamline B2B order-to-revenue processes. By bridging the gap between cutting-edge technology and business strategy, you will drive measurable reductions in manual effort, elevate customer experience, and accelerate overall operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and design high-impact AI opportunities to optimize complex B2B telecommunications order-to-revenue workflows.
  • Build and deploy human-in-the-loop AI copilots to support critical operational decision-making across the portfolio.
  • Modernize legacy contract, usage, pricing, and policy management processes into modern, AI-enabled enterprise platforms.
  • Architect and implement agentic AI solutions for workflow execution, knowledge synthesis, and business process optimization.
  • Develop intelligent knowledge continuity solutions to capture institutional knowledge and accelerate onboarding.
  • Conduct rigorous effort-versus-impact assessments to establish robust business cases and prioritize AI investments.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, technical architects, and delivery teams to secure alignment on the transformation roadmap.

Critical Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of proven experience leading enterprise-scale AI, intelligent automation, digital transformation, or business process modernization initiatives.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated success delivering AI solutions from concept through production deployment, including prompt engineering, agent orchestration, and Generative AI implementation.
  • Technical proficiency with leading enterprise AI ecosystems such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini.
  • Solid understanding of modern AI architectures, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic systems, and AI governance frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise data architecture, Product, Service, and Resource (PSR) modeling, and modern analytics platforms.
  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills to translate complex technology into clear business outcomes.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to influence cross-functional business, technology, and delivery teams.
  • Experience in technology, consulting, SaaS, cloud, financial services, or comparable enterprise environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Telecommunications industry experience, particularly working with TM Forum frameworks, Salesforce CPQ, or ServiceNow OMT.
