Department Overview
Our technical capabilities have been publicly recognized through a number of wins in various international machine learning competitions, including the prestigious ACM RecSys Challenge (the only repeat winner in 2017 and 2018 and runner-up in 2019), Google’s Landmark Retrieval Challenge (2nd place in 2018, 3rd place in 2019), the Stanford Question Answering Dataset (2nd place in 2019), 3rd YouTube-8M Video Understanding Challenge (winner in 2019) and Open Images 2019 – Visual Relationship (winner in 2019).
Job Details
- Lead & manage the applied machine learning research team i.e. provide technical leadership and help the team grow.
- Design and implement cutting-edge machine learning models to solve business problems with large scale impact.
- Join a world-class team of machine learning scientists with an extensive track record in both academia and industry.
- Collaborate closely with business partners, product and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment and see your solutions deployed to production.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in machine learning and apply them to solve real-world problems.
Job Requirements
- Experience of managing research AND/OR engineering teams
- Experience of managing enterprise product
- Masters/PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field
- You have a strong background in machine learning and deep learning, with a proven track record of applying machine learning to solve real-world problems
- You have excellent programming skills and value building robust machine learning solutions
- You strive to communicate clearly and with empathy
- You are highly accountable and have a strong sense of ownership
Nice-to-Have:
- Hands on experience with software systems development
- Experience developing solutions in large cloud computing infrastructures such as Azure and AWS
- Experience with Big Data technologies and frameworks such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks Pytorch or Tensorflow.
